MISSION
The State University of New York Telecommunications Officers Association shall work cooperatively to promote and improve
telecommunications within the State University of New York.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership will be drawn from State Operated Campuses and Community Colleges, CUNY, SUNY Systems Administration, The State University Construction Fund, and the SUNY Research Foundation. Representatives of SUNY Systems Administration, the State University Construction Fund,
and the Research Foundation of SUNY will serve as ex-officio non-voting members.
Private colleges who choose to join the SUNY TOA Membership as non-voting associate members, will be entitled to participate in all SUNY TOA functions.
MEETINGS
The annual meeting of the Association shall be held in the Spring. At least one additional general fall meeting of the Association shall be scheduled each year by the Executive Council.
OBJECTIVES
SUNY TOA will act as a channel for communicating matters of common concern among its members and coordinate SUNY telecommunications activities with those taking place on a regional, national, or international basis. It will also coordinate activities with other SUNY offices, the SUNY Computer Officers Association, the SUNY Educational Officers Association, and the SUNY Business Officers Association.
